From The Do As I Say, Not As I Do File

WOW! It appears that our esteemed Speaker of the House, congresswoman Nancy Pelosi (D-Cal) believes in legislating "ethical" standards on everyone else in her House. But not for herself.
If this article in the Washington Times is correct, it appears that the woman who torpedoed the Wall Street Bailout/Rescue bill just yesterday, thinks that it is A-OK to pay her husband "rent", "utilities" and "accounting fess" for services "rendered".
Amazingly, Mrs. Pelosi was feverishly leading the charge against the disgraced and imprisoned lobbyist, Jack Abramoff. Oh, one of the charges that Mrs. Pelosi leveled against the then Republican majority was the very same practice.
Question.
Will the Republicans use this in the current general election campaign? Along with the financial services meltdown a direct result of the "oversight" of congressman Barney Frank (D-Mass) and Sen. Christopher Dodd (D-Conn)? One only hopes so.
So, to follow the Speaker. Do As I Say. But, Do NOT Do As I Do!

Imagine If Conservatives Did This With Children

Ah, a nice summer day in sunny Venice, California. The sun is shinning and the birds are chirping. And, by coincidence, a group of children break out in song for the Democrat presidential nominee, Sen. Messiah Barack Obama.
Now please tell me, if conservatives were to do this, no lets make that conservative Christians for say, oh I do not know, lets just for argument sake, say the Republican vice-presidential nominee, Alaska governor Sarah Palin, would it not be front page news? Top of the network news broadcasts?
Of course it would!
Because you see, in Leftyland, children who sing for someone like Sen. Messiah Barack are doing so without any prompting. Because they are so smart. Because they care about the world.
But, according to same Leftylanders, if conservatives, no again, conservative Christians were to do this it would be brainwashing. The children would be deemed to have something mentally wrong with them. They are just illiterate boobs.
I am just waiting to see if there is any DDBMSOWM coverage of this and if so, will it be favorable or will they see this for the creepiness that it is all about? Actually, I do not think there will be any DDBMSOWM coverage of this. It would get in the way of conservative, Christian and Jews, Republican, McCain and Palin bashing.
All I can say is be afraid. Be very afraid!

From The Hope And Change File

Here is an interesting line from the Democrat presidential nominee, Sen. Messiah Barack Obama.
Hope and Change, indeed!
And remember, this is one of the two men that wants to lead the United States of America. If Sen. Messiah Barack will not at the very least make the effort to reach out to Republicans, what will he do if he should win the presidency and congress changes hands to the Republicans? Ponder that one.

Saracuda Starts The Conservative Media Tour

It appears that Team McCain is getting the message.
It is a waste of time to try to present the Republican vice-presidential nominee, Alaska governor Sarah Palin to the DDBMSOWM.
Today begins the Saracuda Conservative Media Tour as she started off on radio talker Hugh Hewitt's weekday gabfest.
After listening to the interview twice, I think that Gov. Saracuda did quite well. Gov. Saracuda sounded like she could relate and understand what this financial services fiasco does to Main Street. Gov. Saracuda told Mr. Hewitt that her husband, Todd Palin, has lost $20,000 in a 401k plan in this financial services fiasco.
Listen to the whole interview. If for some reason the audio link does not work, you can read the transcript here.
It is a good thing that Team McCain has finally gotten it. Look for more of Gov. Palin on conservative talk radio as well as possibly on blogger conference calls.

The Sky Has Not Fallen

Today, the sun is shinning. People are moving about their business. And, the stock market is up. Amazing!
As I noted last night, better a bad bill, the Paulson bailout plan, failed. Now, people can take a couple of days off, cool off and start talking about logical solutions. Especially a long term one that addresses the abuses that the federal government set up that encouraged the bad lending practices in the first place.
Things are OK people. Need to calm down and get back to a negotiation that takes time and get something done right.

The Financial Meltdown. . .Maybe

Some quick thoughts on the House failing to pass the financial services bailout legislation.
First, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi bears a great deal of the responsibility for failure to pass the legislation. Mrs. Pelosi hoped that she could get a lot more Republicans. Why? Because she never had enough of her own party to pass the legislation as presented.
The legislation was not good at all. Better than the Treasury Secretary, Henry Paulson, presented to congress. The conservative House Republicans were trying to make sure that this bailout, and let us not be confused, it is a bailout, would not completely at the expense of the American taxpayers. Of course the Democrat majority was trying to laden the legislation to help their allies, especially the left-wing housing activist group ACORN, patrons of the Democrat presidential nominee, Sen. Messiah Barack.
Maybe a little more bleeding by Wall Street will get both sides together and since we are told that "something has to be done", it will be done not the way that the Bush administration and congress tried to ram it through.
And, maybe the way that the government is doing something may work in the short run. Taking failing banks and selling them to stronger banks.
I for having debate and make sure that the legislation is decent, not just something because we are told something is better than nothing. That is how we almost got stuck with the "comprehensive immigration reform" bill scam. This is a really big deal and we need to have a serious debate, not a "crap sandwich" that may have been written on a cocktail napkin.
And one last thing.
When this is over, the federal government may want to get out of the mortgage business and stop forcing banks and other lending institutions loaning money to people and business that could never pay back. This is a reason why we are in this mess to begin with.

The McCain Mistake In The Palin Rollout

I am very impressed National Review's Byron York and the analysis he has on why the McCain campaign blew it in giving the Dinosaur, Drive-By, Mainstream, Obama-Worshiping, Media the initial access to running mate, Alaska governor Sarah Palin.
What Mr. York pointed out is what I am hearing on a source he says Gov. Palin should have been on, talk radio. That Gov. Palin should have been giving the initial interviews and press time to the likes of Laura Ingraham, Hugh Hewitt, Dennis Prager, Michael Medved, Glen Beck, and the Majarushie himself.
To be fair, in between the Gotcha interview with ABC's Chucky Gibson and CBS has-been Katie Couric, Gov. Palin was interviewed by Fox News Channel and radio talker Sean Hannity.
But, read the following and I think it is a devastating indictment of one of the problems with the McCain campaign:

Of course the campaign press corps would have complained, but they would also probably have been forced to use snippets from Palin's talk-radio interviews, which means that what Palin said in a friendly atmosphere would ultimately make its way to an even wider audience, one that includes independents and undecided voters.

Of course Mr. York is spot on. The DDBMSOWM would have howled and used everything that Gov. Palin would have said on any of the shows that I wrote.
But, it goes to the heart of the McCain campaign still trying to revive the vibe of the old days of the Straight Poop Express. You know, the bull sessions with those DDBMSM types. Trying to curry their favor. Oh, and it worked so well when Sen. John "F--- You" McCain won the Republican party nomination and The New York Times began the whispering campaign that Sen. "F--- You" McCain was having an affair with a female lobbyist. Which of course was not true, but it was certainly put out there as fact.
There is a time and place to have a relationship with the DDBMSOWM. But, now the Team McCain should get it clear, is not the time. The DDBMSOWM is gunning for you Sen. "F--- You" McCain. And they want to knock Gov. Palin off first before they really go for the jugular.
And, it is not too late to take up the strategy of putting Gov. Palin in more favorable settings such as those mentioned above. Also, she should be having conference calls with conservative bloggers as well. And, Mr York also said the same thing I wrote in a post last week that it would be good for Gov. Palin to go on local talk radio and media in general.
I am not certain that Team McCain will let Gov. Palin do this before Thursday's debate with the Democrat vice-presidential nominee, Sen. Blowhard Joe Biden. But, I think that it would really help. There is only so much debate prep one can do.
This Byron York analysis is something that Team McCain needs to read-yesterday-and utilize it ASAP!

McCain 1 - Obama 0

Tonight after hours of suspense whether or not there would be a presidential debate, it went off without a hitch and with a strong effort, Sen. John "F--- You" McCain clearly won overall against Sen. Messiah Barack Obama.
Now, I want to be fair to Sen. Messiah Barack.
The first half of the debate were questions about the current financial services crisis and the economy overall.
While I so disagree with the prescriptions of Sen. Messiah Barack, he framed the issue better than Sen. "F--- You" McCain and while I found Sen. "F--- You" McCain in surprising command of the issue at hand, I would would give Sen. Messiah Barack a slight edge. Essentially, one could say that part of the debate was a draw, but if I had to give one an edge to get out of a room, I would grudgingly give it to Sen. Messiah Barack.
But once the debate turned to foreign policy, well, it brought out the ugly in Sen. Messiah Barack.
Many times in the debate, Sen. "F--- You" McCain said these words:

I'm afraid Senator Obama doesn't understand .

Now, Professor "F--- You" McCain had to point this out many times to student Messiah Barack in regard to foreign policy.
Especially in regards to the war in the Iraq theatre.
When asked by debate moderator Jim Lehrer the lessons of Iraq, student Messiah Barack went to his back pocket and pulled out the boilerplate answer that excites the anti-war Democrat base.
OBAMA: Well, this is an area where Senator McCain and I have a fundamental difference because I think the first question is whether we should have gone into the war in the first place.
Professor "F--- You" McCain had to remind the pupil this:
MCCAIN: The next president of the United States is not going to have to address the issue as to whether we went into Iraq or not. The next president of the United States is going to have to decide how we leave, when we leave, and what we leave behind. That's the decision of the next president of the United States.
Game, set and match.
While Sen. Messiah Barack wants to play, "But I told you so! We should have never been there in the first place!", Sen. "F--- You" McCain reminds him that we are there now, that is not the debate. It is how to keep the peace and to leave a nation democratic and an ally of the United States.
For Sen. Messiah Barack, it appears that he almost was a non-entity in the debate. Because as many times as Sen. "F--- You" McCain had to utter the not understanding line, Sen. Messiah Barack said this a bit more than once:

Senator McCain is absolutely right

Hmm, huh, well, I do not think that is the way to score points. Rarely, if ever, did Sen. "F--- You" McCain say that about Sen. Messiah Barack.
Now, I think that it is important to read the transcript of the debate over at Real Clear Politics as you will get a real sense of the way the debate questions were asked and one really good thing is that the candidates got to give beyond the 60 second sound bite. Which is why some analysts may not think either candidate scored the knockout punch. But, clearly Sen. "F--- You" McCain was on his A-game and Sen. Messiah Barack did not go to the "Huh" well much-a minor victory for the teleprompter-king.
Now, I watched the debate among fellow Republicans at the Pasadena Republican Club and it was on Fox News Channel. There was a split screen the whole time it was necessary. It was there that the small, condescending Sen. Messiah Barack came through. Very uncouth to say the least. There were a lot of eye-rolls. Forced smlies. Shouts of "That's not true" or trying to talk over Sen. "F--- You" McCain in a rude manner. That may work in the political gutter of Chicago Democrat politics, but when one wants to be elected president of the United States, it does not come off all that well.
Over at the Weekly Standard, there was a debate scorecard round-by-round and it is pretty fair in giving Sen. "F--- You" McCain a 7-1 advantage.
Now, this was to show that Sen. Messiah Barack could handle his own with Sen. "F--- You" McCain when it came to foreign affairs. Sen. Messiah Barack did not come off well on that at all.
So, I think Sen. "F--- You" McCain had a very strong debate and clearly won.
Sen. Messiah Barack looked a wee bit out of his element, but there were not any major fiascoes. I suppose that is a minor victory in itself for the junior senator from Illinois.

The Debate Is On!

It appears that the Republican presidential nominee, Sen. John "F--- You" McCain has decided to go to Oxford, Mississippi and have that oh-so important debate with the Democrat presidential nominee, Sen. Messiah Barack Obama.
Fine, but I say good for Jim Leher for willing to ask important economic questions and not avoid them.
Also, I do not know the political fallout from the move that Sen. "F--- You" McCain did in suspending the campaign and going to Washington to take a hands on approach to the financial services bailout negotiations. Maybe that is why he decided to debate tonight.
Also, an aside.
Will those who think that because Alaska governor Sarah Palin did not answer CBS' Katie Couric's insipid questions about her getting a passport in her 40s-Da HORROR!-and what makes her foreign policy experience any better than say, Sen. Blowhard Joe Biden, lay off! What the McCain campaign needs to do is let Gov. Palin go on talk radio and local media so that she will get a better approach to answering such questions. She is an unknown entity to a lot of the American public. Letting Gov. Palin continue to be assaulted by the likes of Chucky Gibson and Katie Couric is not going to help matters. Let Sarah loose, McCain people.
FTR, the above suggestion was made by Laura Ingraham today on her radio show.
So, I will be watching the debate tonight with fellow Republicans in Pasadena. I think Sen. McCain has a tremendous chance to recover the bad press tonight.

Comment Moderation

Because a certain someone that likes to comment on this site went over to another site and completely insulted the blogger, I have to put on the comment moderation for a while.
I have NO problem with debate. I enjoy give and take, with friends and foes. BUT, when commenter uses this blog to go to other blogs and verbally assault the blogger, I have to take some responsibility and keep a leash on so that this does not become more of an issue in the future.
I know that this election season, death march as it is, has gotten everyone on all sides excited. And, I love the sometime sarcasm of some of my fellow bloggers and or readers. BUT, again, do not use this site to stray onto someone else's and verbally abuse them. It shows that you are nothing but an immature dolt that needs to grow up.
Please, feel free to keep commenting. But remember, as the blogger here, I get to set the rules. And, for a while, comment moderation is one of the rules.

Here Is Some Sane Thoughts On Friday's Maybe Debate

I should not be amazed but the Dinosaur, Drive-By, Mainstream, Obama-Worshiping Media is shrieking and in apoplexy over the possibility that the Friday night presidential debate maybe-Da horror!-p o s t p o n e d!
Note, I wrote postponed, not cancelled.
You would not think that reading the DDBMSOWM analysis of the suspension of Republican presidential nominee Sen. John "F--- You" McCain's active presidential campaign. Sen. "F--- You" McCain thought that in the midst of a potential financial meltdown*, it might be a good idea to actually be a senator, his current job, and go to Washington and as the titular head of his party and help lead to a solution of this mess.
But, nooooooo!!!!
The Democrat presidential nominee, Sen. Messiah Barack Hussein Obama and his Sherpas in the DDBMSOWM are crying foul. That Sen. "F--- You" McCain is playing politics-as if no one else is during this mess-and trying to avoid the vaunted foreign policy debate Friday night.
Nonsense!
John Poderetz makes an excellent point about the DDBMSOWM and the pundit class just making unimportant events seem important and putting out disinformation on other issues to seemingly suit their own agendas.
And Fred Barnes writes a very interesting history of how these debates came into being in the first place. And how so out of touch this Commission On Presidential Debates is. The commission choosing the moderators for the three presidential and one vice-presidential debate is like a visit to the La Brea Tar Pits here in Los Angeles. The moderators are Jim Lehrer, Gwen Ifill, Tom Brokaw, and Bob Schieffer. Note that not one is from any cable news and or business network.
I am not all that certain that we will end up learning a lot about either candidate that we do not already know about. The formats are stifling. And, when there will be a so-called town hall style debate, the viewers and listeners are just going to have to trust this commission that they will really have undecided voters and that the deck won't be stacked.
The reality is that Sen. "F--- You" McCain had it right.
A town hall debate once a week for 10 weeks. Any subject, any time, any place.
But no, the Sen. Messiah Barack people did not want that. They wanted these nice, tidy "debates" that are more of an attempt to score potential points on any candidate with a "gotcha" moment.
The world will not come to an end if come Friday evening at this time, there has not been a debate. It will happen. Probably next week.
But, if there is not some kind of solution to this financial services mess and very soon, our financial world may come crumbling down.

*As I write this post, my bank, Washington Mutual failed and is being bought by JPMorgan Chase.

One Of Many, Disturbing Reasons We Are In This Financial Mess

Toady, Michelle Malkin addresses an aspect of this financial services mess that will be totally ignored by the DDBMSOWM crowd, congress, President Bush and both Democrat and Republican presidential candidates. The cost of illegal aliens buying into the "American" dream, home ownership.
Since no one involved in the mess wants to address it, Michelle does.
Here is one aspect that Michelle addresses:

The top banks clamoring for their handouts as their profits plummet, led by Wachovia and Bank of America, launched aggressive campaigns to woo illegal alien homebuyers.

I know that B of A has had a very extensive campaign to woo illegal aliens to open up bank accounts and, you guessed it, credit. Credit cards.
An interesting aspect of this is the so-called house flipping business. Why there is a television show on TLC called "Flip This House". Essentially, it is people buying a home low and selling high ASAP.
Also, what Michelle points out is that many of the same banks that begged for the business of the illegal aliens are coming to the government, hat in hand.
Sadly, those of us who have been playing by the rules are the ones that have been hurt by this mess.
What should be done is reevaluating the easy credit that is so prevalent in the United States today. Remember, not too long ago, the banking industry made it hard to get a home loan. One had to come up with a large down payment and good credit. I think we see the end result of lowering the standards.
But, I do not totally blame the banking and financial industry.
After all, it is the federal government that set up this failure by encouraging cheap credit and that anyone, including non-citizens, could buy a home.
Michelle Malkin is called many things by her detractors. Truth-teller is what she is.

Send In Sarah

While Republican presidential nominee, Sen. John "F--- You" McCain is trying to get a handle and help solve the financial meltdown problem, his opponent, Democrat Sen. Messiah Barack, wants to have a debate as if there is nothing happening.
Fine, lets have that debate.
And I believe that Sen. "F--- You" McCain should also say that he will send in his vice-presidential nominee, Gov. Sarah Palin, to debate the Messiah.
Gov. Palin is fresh off meetings with leaders of key nations. And, the debate is on foreign policy after all.
Since Sen. Messiah Barack is essentially saying that this financial crisis can wait until after the election, it is clear that he is not taking it seriously. So, why should Sen. "F--- You" McCain take the debate seriously?
On one thing I may agree with Sen. Messiah Barack. That a president does have to multitask. However, when there is a dark cloud over the financial sector that could lead to a meltdown, it would behoove the Democrat nominee to show leadership.
Once again, Sen. Messiah Barack did not.
Thus, I see nothing wrong with sending in the Saracuda to face off against Messiah Barack.
I wonder if he would get on that plane to Washington if he knew he had to face the Saracuda? I say lets find out.

Leadership

The Republican presidential nominee, Sen. John "F--- You" McCain has decided to suspend his presidential campaign and go back to Washington and help get the $700,000,000,000 bailout through congress. Sen. "F--- You" McCain is also asking the Presidential Debate Commission to delay the foreign policy debate from Friday to a later date.
This shows something that is utterly lacking in the Democrat presidential nominee, Sen. Messiah Barack Obama.
And that is leadership.
Sen. "F--- You" McCain realizes that he has a responsibility to work towards a solution. Sen. "F--- You" McCain has criticized the bailout of the financial services industry as it is being presented by the Bush administration.
Now, those on the left will be cynical. They will say that somehow, Sen. "F--- You" McCain is trying to duck the debate. If that were true, then why has Sen. Messiah Barack not agreed to the town hall-style meetings that Sen. "F--- You" McCain had proposed? And this is a debate on what is clearly Sen. "F--- You" McCain's strong suit.
No, it is a person that is trying to show that he is ready to get out front and work on the solution of this very serious situation. He has been a critic. But, rather than just blow hot wind, he is willing to go back to the nation's capital and roll up his sleeves and work to getting a better plan than is out there now.
This is potentially a seminal moment in this death march of a presidential campaign. Now, the ball is squarely in Sen. Messiah Barack's court.

Why The Rush For The Bailout?

I will be absolutely honest with you loyal, and not so loyal readers to this blog.
The financial services fiasco is a lot to write about in one post. At some point I will write about it in a series, more than likely at the end of the week. At lot of research has to go into writing about this without sounding half-cocked.
But, I am very troubled with the Bush administration trying to rush this $700,000,000,000 bailout in a hurry.
It smells a lot like the way that they tried to ram through the "comprehensive immigration reform" bill-scam. They kept saying that illegal immigration is at a crisis point and that bill was the only way to get a handle on it.
Well, it wasn't and it ended up dying a rightful death.
It is like deja-vu all over again.
And, if one takes the time to read the fine print, as Amanda Carpenter has done over at Townhall, you find a disturbing little item:

Sec. 8. Review.Decisions by the Secretary pursuant to the authority of this Act are non-reviewable and committed to agency discretion, and may not be reviewed by any court of law or any administrative agency.

While Miss Carpenter's comment about the possibility the whole proposal was written on a cocktail napkin was funny, that little paragraph is not.
How can a law, and this is a law being debated and voted on, not be reviewed by a court or administrative agency? And, do we really want a Treasury Secretary to have such broad powers, possible more than any president of the United States?
This is why this can not be done in a hurry. As long as there is the appearance of action and a reality that it should be done in a timely fashion, the markets will hold on for enough time to get a good, and temporary measure through congress and the president's signature.
After the "comprehensive immigration reform" bill-scam debacle, one would think that the administration would have learned its lesson. But, it appears that it has not.
We need to have an open and honest debate. Yes, it will open up a long-term debate on how this crisis, which it really is, got here and how we do not let it happen in the future. And, that debate has to happen. It can not be put off for the next president and or the next congress.
It is very important that all sides get this right. If not, we could be on a dangerous ground for a meltdown that may not benefit any one side politically.
One place to start a bit of a primer on how we got here is this piece by Kevin Hassett from the American Enterprise Institute and an economic adviser to the Republican presidential nominee, Sen. John "F--- You" McCain.
Lets take a deep breath, have a debate and make sure that if there is to be a bailout, we get it right. And we do not give overwhelming power to any cabinet secretary.

Clay Aiken Is Gay-And We Are Supposed To Be Shocked?!

On a bit o' the 'culture' watch, American Idol runner up Clay Aiken finally reveals one of the world's worst kept secrets. Here we go. . .HE'S GAY!

Wow! I can not believe it!

Well, actually, I can believe it and and not surprised in the least that Mr. Aiken finally openly admitted what most who follow entertainment have known for a long time. Since he had a child in a rather unconventional manner-his female friend and record producer, Jaymes Foster (yes Jaymes is a she!), he felt it was time to "come clean", so to speak.

There is no problem that Mr. Aiken is gay. He had to choose his time and place and need to let people know that he was or was not. And, maybe he himself did not really know until he decided to have a child. Especially in the manner that he did.

That is why the following makes a mockery out of those who are really gay and or lesbian who are trying to just live their loves like anyone else.

Pop slut Lindsey Lowlife, er Lohan, is admitting publicly that she is 'dating' DJ Samantha Ronson. It is another one of those worst kept secrets. But there is a real difference between Miss Lowlife and Mr. Aiken.

One really sturggled to come to terms with their sexual attractions and or sexuality. One is just very troubled and seeking a new vehicle for publicity.

Wanna guess which is which?

Mr. Aiken as little as two years ago went off on ABC anchor Dianne Sawyer when she asked him about the questions of his sexuality. Miss Lowlife just treats it like a joke. Like "rehab" and pretty much like everything his her life.

Mr. Aiken is a real role model for those that want to present the face that most of those who are gay and or lesbian are not the freak show that is seen in Gay "Pride" parades and or clubs and the like. While I freely admit that equating the same-sex relationship as marriage is something I do have a problem with, the other aspects such as legal rights for same-sex partners I do not have a problem with.

Miss Lowlife is like another publicity hound, actress Anne Heche.

Remember Miss Heche?

When the talk show host Ellen DeGeneres revealed that she was a lesbian, why Miss Heche said that she was too and they became the talk-of-the-town Hollowood same-sex couple. Too bad that not too long after, Miss Heche had a change of heart-and attraction-and said that she was not a lesbian but at most a switch-hitter, or to be politically correct, a bisexual.

And that is why much of the United States just does not get this stuff.

A Race Problem. . .For The Dems

Well, well, well!!! It appears that the race problem is not with the Republican party but with the Democrat party if we are to believe the Obama Press, er Associated Press-Yahoo poll released over this past weekend.
According to the poll findings, as many as one-third of those who said that they were Democrats and white said that they could not vote for a black for president. Also according to the poll, many of these white Democrats had a negative adjective to say about blacks.
On the other side, the Republicans, we white Republicans hold many prejudices, but that is not why we would not vote for a black for president. It is more that Republicans would not vote for a Democrat, no matter what his or her race was.

"We still don't like black people," said John Clouse, 57, reflecting the sentiments of his pals gathered at a coffee shop in Somerset, Ohio.

That was a quote in the article. Interestingly, there is no indication that this potential voter was a Democrat or a Republican or an independent.
What this poll shows, if it is to believed, is that the Democrats will have a harder time to convince those that are registered in their party to vote for Sen. Messiah Barack over Sen. John "F--- You" McCain. A finding of the poll is that Sen. Messiah Barack has the allegiance of only 70% of registered Democrats while Sen. "F--- You" McCain has the backing of 85% of registered Republicans.
If that is true, what does it say about the Democrat party?
It says that a party that plays the identity games dies by the identity game.
For the Democrats, the previous primary season exposed that chasm that has bubbled under the surface.
Sure, Sen. Messiah Barack won the Democrat nomination, but had to be helped over the finish line by the votes of the so-called "Superdelegates". It is a very undemocratic way to chose a candidate. And, for Sen. St. Hillary Clinton, it would have been the same end to a bitter game.
Women against men. Whites against blacks. Old against young. Traditionalists against modernists. Liberals against socialists.
That is why Sen. Messiah Barack is having a hard time getting anywhere close to closing the deal. And a serious lack of any leadership and or serious accomplishments is making it much harder than it should be in what should be a Democrat year.
If this poll is anywhere near right, and Sen. Messiah Barack does lose, it will not be the Republicans who have something to answer for. It will be a party that has played identity politics for the last 40 years that will have to answer why the party for the people is nothing more than the party for some people.

Even Here In California, Sarah Palin Is A Factor

Many a pundit are writing off California for the McCain column. I, for one, have not. Why is that? Why are the DDBMSOWN trying to write California once again a big blue for the Democrats?
My thought is that if the DDBMSOWN keep saying that there is no chance in California for the McCain ticket, they will not bother.
But, a little problem occurred with all of that.
Her name is SARAH!
Alaska governor, Sarah Palin, has rejuvenated Republicans all across the United States.
Even the reliably liberal San Francisco Chronicle had an article that was about a resurgence of Republican fortunes. And that is in usually moribund Northern California, also known as No Cal.
There were two interesting nuggets that came out of the article.
Firstly, that the state Republican party has 50 GOTV offices is California. And that on any given weekend, they are making a combined 125,000 contact calls. In the Bush-Kerry saga of 2004, the Republicans gave up very early on California and there was no presence to speak of here in the Not-So-Golden State.
Then this struck me. That there are some private polling that has shown an only five-point difference between the Democrat, Sen. Messiah Barack and Sen. "F--- You" McCain. I can attest to that for when I went to my local GOP office, I was told the same thing.
A bad note is the citing of the heavily Democrat Field Poll which, of course, shows Sen. Messiah Barack with a 52% to 36% lead over Sen. "F--- You" McCain.
And here is my observation here in Pasadena, California.
I see quite a lot of Obama signs in front of houses. I have only seen one Obama/Biden sign in the many I saw this weekend. But there are an unusually large amount of McCain signs and many more McCain/Palin signs. No question, Sen. Messiah Barack has the advantage in lawn signs. But, Sen. "F--- You" McCain has a stronger presence here than did Bush/Cheney in 2004.
Which leads me to believe that the real polling in California is somewhere between the five percent in private polling and 16% spread in the Field Poll. I think that it may be a little as an eight point Obama advantage but no more than 11%.
So, why is there any interest in the Republican ticket in reliably Democrat California?
Phil Lehman has the answer:

Now the office is welcoming first-timer campaigners like Phil Lehman, a 63-year-old Foster City resident.
His reason for volunteering: "Sarah."
"There's a realness to her, a believability," Lehman said. "I think she's going to eat Joe Biden's lunch at the (vice presidential) debate."

I agree. Sarah Palin is a factor in California and the Republicans may be taking this state a lot more seriously than Team Bush did in both elections.

Fat Charlie Rangel Is An Idiot!

It is really obvious that the Democrat party of Sen. Messiah Barack Hussien Obama is going down a road of idiocy and the latest idiot is an old shoe.
New York Democrat congressman Charlie Rangel referred to the Republican vice-presidential candidate, Alaska governor Sarah Palin as "disabled". Yes, "disabled".
You just can not make this stuff up.
While being interviewed on a local New York City television station, the mental midget that is Mr. Rangel said the following in response to this reporter's question

The question was simple: Why are the Democrats so afraid of Palin and her popularity?

"You got to be kind to the disabled," Rangel said.

That's right. The chairman of the powerful House Ways & Means Committee called Palin disabled -- even when CBS 2 HD called him on it.

CBS 2 HD: "You got to be kind to the disabled?"

Rangel: "Yes."

Now, to be fair, Mr. Rangel did go on to say that he thinks Gov. Palin is politically disabled when it comes to foreign policy.
But, notice how with ease, this scumbag who himself is the latest politician caught not paying his taxes, he referred to Gov. Palin as "disabled".
Please, do not write and say that Mr. Rangel forgot that Gov. Palin's youngest son, Trig, was born with and has Down Syndrome. Mr. Rangel was playing very cutesy using such a loaded word in reference to Gov. Palin. In any way.
This is not good at all in political discourse.
Look, we get it. You on the other side are absolutely frightened. You can not believe that for the third time in a row you will lose a presidential election. You can not believe that Sen. John "F--- You" McCain really wants to win and become president. You thought he would roll over like another old warrior, former Kansas senator Bob Dole. You think that in choosing a bright, young, conservative face (oh, and a woman!), it was nothing more than a publicity stunt. Kind of like your party selecting the least prepared and knowledgable presidential candidate, oh I do not know, ever!
So, now the strategy is to throw the kitchen sink at her and by extension, Sen. "F--- You" McCain.
And ol' Charlie Rangel, Mr. Pay All My Taxes, is the latest ignoramus to go after Gov. Palin.
Really, you should know better than this. If you thought losing the presidential election in 2004 was painful (and with a much better candidate in Sen. John Kerry), it really is going to hurt when the American people send a message to this kind of gutter, jackbooted type of politics.
Thanks, but no thanks.
Charlie, you are an old coot. And you have had your tax troubles. It is now time for you to leave. Go back to New York City and relax in retirement. Because you may not be having as much fun dealing with a President McCain and Vice-President Palin.

Top Ten Messiah Barack Gaffes

Yes, I know, there are a lot more than ten, but Right Wing News' John Hawkins narrowed it down to ten. And, I am sure that many have their own top ten.
Between Sens. Messiah Barack and running mate Blowhard Joe Biden, it is a whopping gaffe machine.
I wonder, maybe the scientists using the atom smasher to recreate the "big bang" might want to use the Obama/Biden gaffe machine? They might get their experiment done a lot faster!

I AM NOT PATRIOTIC!

I have to write, the Democrat vice-presidential candidate, Sen. Blowhard Joe Biden, is a treasure trove of stupidity. Every day since he has been nominated, Sen. Blowhard Biden has said something positively moronic. And today is no exception.
Sen. Blowhard Biden said that it is a patriotic duty to pay higher taxes.
That's it! Sell raising taxes as an act of patriotism!
Here is the money quote:

You got it. It's time to be patriotic, Kate, time to jump in, time to be part of the deal, time to help America get out of the rut. And the way to do that is they're still going to pay less taxes than they paid under Reagan.

The moronic answer was to CNN interviewer Kate Snow asking about the Team Obama tax policies.
So, all of us who find every way to avoid paying as much as possible to Uncle Sam, are we unpatriotic? Of course not!
But, it is not only the assertion that somehow, patriotism is measured by how much hard-earned money the American worker is going to give to the federal government.
Sen. Blowhard Biden asserts that "the rich" are going to pay less taxes than they did when Ronald Reagan was president. Once again, it is at the very least a distortion. At worst, an outright lie.
Michael Medved points out that President Reagan inherited a top marginal tax rate of 70%. That is right, 70%. When President Reagan left office, the marginal tax rate was 28%. Currently, the marginal tax rate is 35%. And, under the Obama/Biden plan, it goes up to 39.6%. I would like the economic genius that Sen. Blowhard Biden is to explain how 39.6% is less than 28%!
But, I am certain that he can not. Or maybe he would like the marginal rate to go back to 70%.
So, I will proudly write that if my patriotism is based on just bending over, letting the government take more of the money that I earned, then I AM NOT PATRIOTIC!

I'm Certain These Are Going To Have Voters Swoon To Obama

I should not be, but I admit I am truly amazed at how this death march of a presidential campaign has deteriorated into nothing but a brawl being led by the great unifier himself, Sen. Messiah Barack.
This item shows that just being for him is not enough. Get in the face of those independents and the eeeevvvviiiillll Republicans! Argue with them!
Oh yes, I am certain that those voters will just fall in line and vote for the man who lied to the American people when he said that there is no blue or red, black or white, gay or straight. That he would unify America. Clearly, since all is not going to plan, Sen. Messiah Barack thinks that if one just wears down a potential voter, then there will be unity. NOT! This will backfire and make people just more angry and frustrated. And willing to take a look at the McCain/Palin ticket.
And now this National Basketball Association player, Josh Howard, who plays for the Dallas Mavericks gave his opinion of the National Anthem. According to The Dallas Morning News, the Mavericks player said "I don't celebrate this "BLANK", I'm black". And, surprise, surprise. Which presidential candidate is the ingrate for in the election. Hint, it is not the "old guy". Why yes, it is the Great Unifier, Sen. Messiah Barack.
These are just two cases that it appears the Messiah's campaign is on the ropes. Sure, the Messiah got a bump due to the current mess on Wall Street. But, once that clears up, the race will stay in this state until the first presidential debate on September 26.
Campaigns that are confident do not have to lower themselves to what the Messiah's is doing. Telling supporters to get in the face of those not supportive. A supporter dissing the National Anthem. This is a campaign on the ropes. Hopefully, the McCain/Palin ticket can take advantage of this situation.

When One Is An Empty Suit, How Does One Win An Election

This is an excellent analysis over at Powerline over the fact that the Democrat presidential nominee, Sen. Messiah Barack Obama has been just a little bit off message since the Republican presidential nominee, Sen. John "F--- You" McCain nominated the Alaska governor, Sarah "Saracuda" Palin to be his running mate.
But, what is the message?
We all know that part of it is change. Another is "Yes we can". And, why Sen. Messiah Barack is the Democrat nominee in the first place is because he was the most sufficiently anti-Iraq war candidate in the Democrat arsenal. No, sorry, Dennis Kucinich was not a serious candidate so he does not count.
Take the change aspect. Change what? What record does Sen. Messiah Barack have of changing anything but his clothes? He is but a two-term senator from a gerrymandered, black-majority district. He has not had to really go to the other side, the eeevvviiiillll Republicans to gain support on anything. Or support any potential eeeeevvviiiillll Republican intuitive.
"Yes we can". Can what? It is not only the most vague slogan, but says absolutely nothing. It is a perfect slogan for an empty suit. And, so far, Sen. Messiah Barack has not disappointed about being an empty suit.
Sen. Messiah Barack has always been against the war in the Iraq theatre in the War Against Islamofacist Terror. And how do we know that? Because of a speech that he delivered when he was a state senator in 2002. Easy to take a position that had not one thing to do with the office that he had held at that time. He was not in the senate of the United States when he would have had to make a crucial vote that would have authorized the president to use force to remove the Iraqi dictator, Sadaam Hussien. And, Sen. St. Hillary Clinton was. As was the Democrat vice-presidential candidate, Sen. Blowhard Joe Biden. Oh, they voted to authorize the president to use force.
A funny thing has happened to rain on the "I told you that we should have not been there" aspect of Sen. Messiah Barack. The United States is winning the peace in Iraq. Because President Bush finally listened to Sen. John "F--- You" McCain and started the surge in troops that put down the insurrection that was gripping Iraq. Oh, and Sen. Messiah Barack was against that as well. But, the whole narrative on Iraq has blown-up in Sen. Messiah Barack's face. He is reduced to saying "I was against it all along" and "No one could have imagined" the success in the Iraq theatre. All but Sen. "F--- You" McCain.
So now what? Does Sen. Messiah Barack just talk down the economy while offering no concrete solutions? Does Sen Messiah Barack hope that something happens to derail the success in the Iraq theatre? Because without that teleprompter, the man just makes no sense.
So, while this race still looks like a cliffhanger, I will go out on a limb and write that I think the two debates between Sens. McCain and Obama and the debate between Sen. Biden and Gov. Palin may really be the deal-breaker.
And, I think Team McCain has that advantage and could end up winning this election.

More Conservative Elitism

Yes, I know. Many of you do not think that conservatives have some elitists in the ranks. But, on elitism, it is where many conservatives are more comfortable with liberal elites and in the end they end up agreeing with each other more than disagree.
Today in The New York Times, conservative elitist David Brooks, not a fan of Republican presidential nominee Sen. John "F--- You" McCain's choice of Alaska governor Sarah Palin as his running mate, brought up a canard about experience.
First off on where I think that Mr. Brooks is confused is on the assertion that conservatism is not about egalitarianism. As Mr. Brooks explains:

There was a time when conservatives did not argue about this. Conservatism was once a frankly elitist movement. Conservatives stood against radical egalitarianism and the destruction of rigorous standards. They stood up for classical education, hard-earned knowledge, experience and prudence. Wisdom was acquired through immersion in the best that has been thought and said.

Yes, I do agree that at one time, conservatism was an elitist movement. And it languished because it was very elite. But, where Mr. Brooks is way off is when he writes that somehow, because Gov. Palin is Sen. "F--- You" McCain's running mate that she does not stand up to rigorous standards. As defined by whom? Yourself? And who says that someone like Gov. Palin does not believe in classical education, has developed a hard-earned knowledge, experience and prudence? Oh, I forgot. Poor Gov. Palin got her degree in journalism from the University of Idaho. A puny state-school. And what says that living like does not provide hard-earned knowledge? Of course it does. Sometimes more so than the Ivory Tower that people like Mr. Brooks occupy. What conservative ideas do lead to is an understanding of meritocracy, meaning that people move up, whether in education, business and all walks of life. What conservatism has done, especially in the United States is produced the greatest republic in the history of man.
And, Mr. Brooks addresses that as well:

But, especially in America, there has always been a separate, populist, strain. For those in this school, book knowledge is suspect but practical knowledge is respected. The city is corrupting and the universities are kindergartens for overeducated fools.
The elitists favor sophistication, but the common-sense folk favor simplicity. The elitists favor deliberation, but the populists favor instinct.
This populist tendency produced the term-limits movement based on the belief that time in government destroys character but contact with grass-roots America gives one grounding in real life. And now it has produced Sarah Palin.

Mr. Brooks paints a rather black and white picture. And a wrong one.
I think that book knowledge is vital. But, it can not replaced practical knowledge. When it does, then one becomes elite and thinking that they have all the answers. The key is to not let one over take the other. As far as the universities, well yes they are corrupting. Look at the reality for a conservative student. They are mocked and ridiculed. They are made to feel that their thoughts, ideas and opinions are stupid. The educated ones, the professors and administrators, will bring that misguided one to the light. The university is elitism at its utter worst. And one can be both sophisticated and instinctive. I believe that Ronald Reagan was in that category. But, he did not let sophistication get in the way of the instinctive. Mr. Reagan believed that the Soviet Union and communism were evil. And we know that they were. He wanted to end both. He had to use a lot of sophisticated ideas but always kept the eye on the ball that the Soviet, communist empire had to be defeated. One of his predecessors, Richard Nixon and his experienced elites came up with detente. It accepted the very existence of the Soviet Union and allowed them to have a sphere of influence unchecked. Never mind that more nations around the world fell victim to the Soviets. And that accelerated under Jimmy Carter.
The reason that the term limits movement gained was because the government no longer had the consent of the governed. A rightful brake had to be put on those that saw government as a career and not something that one did part of the time. One thing about many states is that their legislatures are part-time and the elected assemblyman, representative or senator can continue at their professions. Californian is the complete opposite and look at how well we function here.
It just is so out there when a "conservative" like Mr. Brooks tries to justify elitism.
Note that he refers to conservatives as "they" as if he wants nothing to do with conservatism.
And maybe he does not.
But, I will note this.
Sen. McCain is a graduate of Annapolis, the navy academy. Gov. Palin as noted is a graduate of the University of Idaho. Neither are lawyers.
Sen. Messiah Barack Obama is a graduate of Harvard Law School and Sen. Blowhard Joe Biden is a graduate of Syracuse University. And, surprise, both are lawyers.
Which candidates will voters, the ultimate deciders, think have the ability to govern. Two lawyers or a member of the armed services and a state university graduate who has had multiple careers? We will see in November.

Another Grusome Clash Against Civilization

One does not have to limit the clash against civilization between the Judeo-Christian West and radical Islam. As this story in the London Sun tragically shows, it is a clash from within.
While Satanism has a following in much of the West, it is in areas of Europe in which a current history of putting God on the sidelines such as Scandinavia and much of Eastern Europe including the former Soviet Union where the depraved act of torturous murder occurred.
Much of what is called "Death Metal" hardcore heavy metal rock music is very popular and homegrown in Scandinavian nations. It also has a large following in the former Eastern bloc nations.
These are nations that have rejected their Judeo-Christian heritage. In the case of Scandinavia, it is voting for socialism at the ballot box. The former Eastern bloc including the former Soviet Union rejected all religion by the gun and the communist party that ruled most of those nations. The one nation in which the church was not rejected and in fact led to the downfall of communism was Roman Catholic Poland. And, when communism fell in what reverted to Russia, there was a great deal of revival of the Russian Orthodox Church. But, because it was co-opted by the Communist party, it has taken a long time for the majority of Russians to, no pun intended, have faith in the hierarchy.
One has to wonder what kind of punishment these evil-filled youths can have that would make them realize the evil act that they committed. And that is a huge part of why there is a clash of civilization from within.

The Media: No More Love For McCain

The DDBMSOWM has decided that it is going all in, head first, for the Democrat nominee for president, Sen. Messiah Barack.
But, remember when the same DDBMSOWM crowd adored the Republican presidential nominee, Sen. John "F--- You" McCain?
Well, National Review's Rich Lowry has hit it out of the park with why the DDBMSOWM has dumped Sen. "F--- You" McCain and got in with Sen. Messiah Barack.
Because Sen. "F--- You" McCain wants to win. He really wants to be president of the United States.
The DDBMSOWM liked the old Sen. "F--- You" McCain. The one who believes in Globaloney Warming. The one who did not want to do any offshore oil drilling. The one who pushed the so-called campaign finance reform. Anything that he sought the support and approval of Democrats. And by extension the DDBMSOWM.
But, a funny thing happened.
Sen. "F--- You" McCain became the Republican presidential nominee. And, he did not nominate one of the approved DDBMSOWM people for his vice-president. Sen. "F--- You" McCain kept saying he wanted a transformative choice. And somehow, the DDBMSOWM crowd thought that it meant someone like GOP fossil Tom Ridge. Or that to be really transformative ask independent Democrat Sen. Joe Lieberman to be the Republican number two.
And, Sen. "F--- You" McCain upset that applecart and asked the Alaska governor, Sarah Palin, to be the number two.
HOW DARE HE DO THAT! WHO IS SARAH PALIN?! WE DID NOT APPROVE HER! WHERE IS ALASKA?!
That is the DDBMSOWM reaction in reality.
And, thank God that Sen. "F--- You" McCain did what he did. It energized a campaign and showed that indeed, he wants to become the 44th president of the United States.
And the DDBMSOWM can't stand that and have declared war on Sen. John "F--- You" McCain and Gov. Saracuda Sarah Palin.
I think Johnny Mac and the Saracuda are going to put the DDBMSOWM right where they belong. On November 5, 2008 when they will have won the presidency.

Some "Thoughts" From Saudi Arabia

Well, for those that think that Saudi Arabia is a trusted ally in the War Against Islamofacist Terror, this little ditty from Reuters should make one pause and realize that at best, the Saudi's have just not actually done the terrorism themselves.
Afterall, the Saudi government was one of only two nations to recognize the Taliban government of Afghanistan as the United States and allies were liberating the nation from the brutal fanatics. The other nation was Pakistan.
Terrorism experts such as Steve Emerson have been warning that the Saudis have been financing the building of mosques thoughout the world and of course the United States. With that funding comes Wahabi clerics, and their narrow view of Islam.
So, these programs of "sorcery" are nothing but horoscope shows. Kind of like having someone like the late Joyce Jillson giving horoscopes on television. Ooohhh! How scary!
But, to people that have wielded so much power, the Wahabi fanatics, everything that is not from their interpetation of Islam is a perversion. And of course should be dealt with by the sword.
I have always thought we should not be so chummy with the Saudis. I do not think that they can be completely trusted. But we are in a rock and a hard place. The best that we can hope is that some in the royal family can get some very minimal reform. Otherwise, there could be another Iranian-like revolution by even more fanatical groups.
One more reason to start throwing the kitchen sink to get us off the foreign oil. And yes, that includes offshore drilling and development of ANWR.
We can not continue to deal with nations such as Saudi Arabia in which there is a debate on whether or not television executives should be put to death for having very timid programming that-HORRORS-may even produce a laugh!

Wanna Drive Oprah Crazy?!

Since the diva of daytime talk, Oprah Wimpfrey, has decided that she will not have Alaska governor Sarah Palin on her afternoon gabfest, a lot of people from all political backgrounds have questioned her "reasoning" for not having the hottest politician in both parties on her television show.
Here is a petition that one can sign that will go to Miss Wimpfrey to ask her to have Gov. Palin on her show.
Now, I am honest here. I do not watch her television show because I am at work at the time her show is on here in California. But, many people do watch her show and would be interested in knowing more about this vice-presidential candidate. And, to be fair, she should have Sen. Blowhard Joe Biden and Sen. John "F--- You" McCain.
Yes, Miss Wimpfrey is a Sen. Messiah Barack supporter and that is OK in my book. I have no problem for Gov. Palin to go into clear hostile territory. At least Gov. Palin will know it. But again, Miss Wimpfrey says that she will have no candidates on and yet has had the candidate that she supports, Sen. Messiah Barack, on not once but twice.
So, Miss Wimpfrey can have all the candidates on, be hostile with them if she wants, and expose her viewers to all points of view on her show. But, Miss Wimpfrey chooses not to. And it hurts her credibility with a lot of Americans.
So, sign the petition and maybe drive Oprah crazy. It just might change her mind!

The Obama Meltdown Just Keeps Getting Better And Better!

The Sen. Messiah Barack Meltdown Show is just getting better and better. And, of course, much more classier.

Lets take the latest ad about the Republican presidential nominee, Sen. John "F--- You" McCain. Why I think it is a real beaut!

It starts off showing us 1982, the year that John McCain was elected to congress. And his suit, well it was just hideous! And the glasses-thank God he has Gov. Palin to help with the fashion advice! Anyway, no more boring details. I want to zero in on the slam that Sen. "F--- You" McCain does not know how to use a computer.

It is a bald-faced lie and if Team Obama did a Google search, they would have stumbled upon a Boston Globe article that explained why Sen. "F--- You" McCain can not use a computer like the rest of us. You may remember that Sen. "F--- You" McCain was a "guest" at the Hanoi Hilton for about five years. Oh, and unlike the real Hilton hotel chain, this one was where fighter pilot McCain was being relentlessly beaten day after day. The man can not lift his arms past his shoulders. It is not that he has no clue about computers. He just can not use them like the rest of us. A boorish ad if there ever was one this election season. And, I agree with Jim Geraghty's assessment that it shows a revealing side of Team Obama that, like so much of it, is clueless.

If it is not Team Obama going after Sen. "F--- You" McCain in a foolish manner, let us not forget the nutbags that are his supporters and going after the governor of Alaska and Sen. "F--- You" McCain's running mate, Sarah "Saracuda" Palin.

Randi Rhodes is one of those Air America imbeciles. One who has a very severe case of diarrhea of the mouth. She says this about Gov. Saracuda:

She’s the woman who shows up at the kid’s birthday party and starts opining about everything from politics to lawn care. This is the woman that knows it all. Will shout you down, will get revenge on you. That’s who she is.
She’s friends with all the teenage boys. You have to say no when your kids say, ‘can we sleep over at the Palin’s? No! NO!’

Now, as Ed Morrisey points out, Miss Rhodes is in the business of talk radio. Well, in a manner of speaking since it is Air America! And maybe, just maybe she was saying a little projection herself. Can you believe it? This woman, who faked a mugging not that long ago for publicity is all but saying that Gov. Saracuda may just be a female pedophile. What a degenerate.

But, I say keep it up Team Obama, the DDBMSOWN, the Hollowood crowd, keep it up.

What it is showing how these people are by and large out of touch with real America. The very people that they so claim to love and just want to make their lives better, re: more dependent on government, they really do not like. And, they ask for their votes. UGH!

So, you just keep it all classy Dems, keep it classy!

The Aftermath Of Hurricane Ike

This huge hurricane, Hurricane Ike, at its peak a 600-mile wide storm caused the following

What a disaster for those living along the Texas and Louisiana gulf coast. The sheer devastation and certain death is astounding. Many people left but as almost always, not enough took this storm of the century seriously and stayed behind. Why, I do not know.

The following links are to those groups that can provide some help to those whose lives have been changed forever:

Episcopal Relief and Development

The Salvation Army

The American Red Cross

They are but three groups that will be on the front lines as the Gulf Coast transitions from disaster to rebirth. And also, do not forget the pets that need all the help we can give them.

Houston Society For The Prevention Of Cruelty To Animals

May God be with you all on the Gulf Coast and remember that our thoughts and prayers and support are with you.

And Republicans Helped This Guy?

The comments of former Republican and senator Lincoln Chafee are no surprise.
I never understood why the Republican party put so much on trying to get this ingrate reelected in the first place.
Even in a liberal a state like Rhode Island, former Republican and senator Chafee could not win. Mr. Chafee's record was far to the left of the Republican center and well in the left on the Democrat center.
I never had doubts that Mr. Chafee would have switched parties if he had won reelection.
What a waste of time and money on the Republicans part.

NEVER FORGET

Today is Patriot Day, September 11, 2008. It is the seventh anniversary of the terror attacks of 9/11/01. It is a day to put aside all politics and divisiveness and unite in our efforts to defeat those who perpetuated these evil acts.
Nearly 3,000 people died in New York City, Washington D. C. and in a field in Shanksville, Pennsylvania. Those in Shanksville who died were in an airplane, flight United 93. The passengers in that plane knew that things were amiss and decided to stop the terrorists who were trying to fly that plane into a building in Washington, D. C. A possible target may have been the Capitol building or even the White House.
Today, let us remember those that died not only on 9/11, but those who have volunteered to take the fight to the front line. Those that are serving in the armed forces. That includes one of Sen. Joe Biden's sons and the oldest son of Gov. Sarah Palin, being deployed today.
May God Bless America.

If you are in the Pasadena, California area on October 11, come out to Brookside Park and take a walk around the Rose Bowl in the 10th annual Wiggle Waggle Walk.
It is a fundraiser that helps the Pasadena Humane Society raise money. The goal is $400,000 and at this writing, they are only at 43% or about $129,000.
The walk is only three miles around the famed Rose Bowl. And of course you can bring the love, or loves of your life, your dogs.
Mrs. rightviewfromtheleftcoast and I and Scout The Wonder Dog will be happy participants. And, it is something important for us for the Pasadena Humane Society is where we were blessed to attain Scout The Wonder Dog.
I encourage you to go to the website and help in any way that you can.

The Obama Meltdown Continues

For the Team Obama, it just keeps getting worse and worse. Classier and Classier. More Hollywood sycophants crawling over glass to announce their displeasure over the Republican vice-presidential nominee, the Saracuda, Alaska governor Sarah Palin.

Here is one from Roger Ebert, well known political analyst, er movie critic.

And how can you be her age and never have gone to Europe? ... Sarah Palin's travel record is that of a hopeless provincial. ... Palin is a shallow, chirpy person with those vaguely alarming eyeglasses. Now her fans all want a pair. Remember back when women wore glasses that departed their ears in plastic swoops and swirls? My theory is, anyone who wears glasses that look weird is telling me something I don't want to know. I trust the American people will see through Palin's facade, and save the Republic in November. The most damning indictment against her is that she considered herself a good choice to be a heartbeat away. That shows bad judgment

Well, I am 44 years old and I have never been to Europe. I guess I am one of those hopeless provincials. Alarming eyeglasses? And, did Gov. Saracuda actually say that she was a good choice to be a heartbeat away from the presidency?

Ah, but it does not end there.

Political know-it-all Matt Damon compared the possibility of a President Saracuda to a bad Disney movie. Well, I do not know if Matt Dimwit has been in a bad Disney movie, but maybe he had a few knocks too many to the head in the Bourne Identity movies.

Really folks, it just keeps getting better and better.

This Carol Fowler, the chairman of the South Carolina Democrat party really steps into the doo-doo by saying the only reason that Gov. Saracuda is Sen. John "F--- You" McCain's running mate is because she has not had an abortion. On so many levels, it is disgusting. Oh, a quick question for Mrs. Fowler. Was Geraldine Ferraro put on the Walter Mondale ticket in 1984 because she had an abortion? But, the Fowler apple does not fall far from the tree. Her husband is Don Fowler, former Democrat National Chairman. He made the comment the weekend before the Republican National Convention that Hurricane Gustav was a sign from God that it would ruin the Republican confab.

And, because I just can not go on anymore, last but not least is an appearance from the Chosen One himself, Sen. Messiah Barack on the David Letterman show. I think that it would be the last place I would appear if I were Sen. Messiah Barack, but the guy just can not dig himself out of the hole with the infamous lipstick on a pig slam on Gov. Saracuda.

The baffling aspect of all of this is the fact that it seems to be centered around the Republican vice-presidential candidate. Not even at Sen. "F--- You" McCain, the Republican presidential nominee. The fear that the Democrats have over Gov. Saracuda is palpable. It shows that this is not a party and Sen. Messiah Barack are not ready to lead from the White House or congress.
